New Zealand Police invest in Pulsar Acolade bi-oculars

The New Zealand Police recently invested in 20 Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Pro thermal bi-oculars, to help officers perform their duties with increased safety and efficiency. These devices were previously supplied to the Auckland Police AOS and other units.

Launched in 2016, the Pulsar Accolade series became an instant success with both professional and recreational users for its ergonomically comfortable design, reliability and performance. The latest version is fitted with a high performance Lynred 640×480 sub 25mK sensor and integral 1000m laser rangefinder.

Like its professional counterpart, the Pulsar Lexion, the Accolade is housed in a fully waterproof glass reinforced polymer housing, that is stronger and lighter than steel and incorporates a heatsink with radiator for high performance and longevity. The dual eyepiece design is ideal for prolonged observation.

The Pulsar Accolade will eventually be superseded by the new Pulsar Merger LRF XP50, which is set to continue the legacy set by its predecessor, but in a more refined profile, that is lighter and more compact.
